SW Analyst Jason Jewell breaks down ASU's newest commit and talks with Allah

This evening Phoenix (Az.) North Canyon defensive back Jamar Allah made his college commitment stating, "I am officially an Arizona State Sun Devil."

"I just felt the time was right," he says after ASU's win over USC. "They are a great football team and I have the opportunity to play early. I want my family and friends to be able to drive just thirty minutes to watch me play. It is my hometown school and they treat me like family at ASU."

Allah's bio:

Name: Jamar Allah
School: Phoenix (Az.) North Canyon
Position: CB
Size: 6-1 185
Class: 2012
JR Stats: Made 48 tackles and 1 sack
Recruiting: Had offers from Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.

What Allah brings to ASU:
: Allah is a big corner that can run and has the ability to potentially play other positions. He is physical and will match up well against bigger wideouts. He certainly looks the part, when you watch Allah play now he definitely stands out from a physical standpoint. He is not afraid to come up and make a tackle, which could translate to him bulking up and playing some safety in a few years. Has solid but not elite speed. Has good ball skills and makes plays. I mentioned he has the frame to potentially bulk up into a safety, he could even bulk up to an OLB. Solid pick up for the Devils.
