Big Sky program Northern Arizona hits up four local players recently

With roughly 70 players in the Grand Canyon State holding FBS or FCS scholarship offers currently, Northern Arizona is making sure they don't miss the boat. Scout.com has confirmed that the Lumberjacks have jumped in the mix for four local players.

*The most heavily recruited of the four is Chandler Hamilton DT Calvin Thomas. Thomas has offers from North Dakota State, Air Force, South Dakota State and now NAU.

Thomas (6-3 265) says he will visit Air Force on January 7th, NAU of January 14th and Washington on January 21st. The Huskies have not offered yet. Thomas has already visited North Dakota State.

On the year, Thomas made 91 tackles and 11.5 sacks.

*Mesa Mountain View linebacker Jake Thomas says he was recently offered by NAU and confirmed that he will visit on the weekend of January 20th.

This is Thomas' first offer.

Thomas (6-1 220) made 64 tackles, 1 sack and 1 INT in 2011 for the Toros.

*Brophy wide receiver Fredrick Gammage has scheduled a visit to NAU on January 27th but has not been offered yet.

Gammage (5-11 165) caught 52 passes for 913 yards and 15 TDs as a senior.

*Bradshaw Mountain offensive lineman Jacob Julian has a visit set to Flagstaff for January 13th but also has not been offered yet.
