Syracuse capped its 2012 season with a statement win over West Virginia in the Pinstripe Bowl on Saturday, and future members of the Orange were pumped about the outcome - some even expected it.

Syracuse strutted its way through the snow en route to a dominating Pinstripe Bowl win over West Virginia on Saturday, 38-14. The victory not only capped a great second-half of the season for the Orange, but it allowed the future ACC member to shine on national television against another big-time opponent.

The exposure of the team's second bowl win in three seasons may be at an all-time high for the program under Doug Marrone, and it's starting to reflect in the attitude of current players as well as future ones.

Several Syracuse football commits and even one basketball standout had plenty to say bout the game and some even shared their thoughts on just how not surprised they were about the gaudy rout.

What was your initial reaction to the game?

LB commit Luke Arciniega: "I was really into the game. It was exciting because I knew that I would be a part of that in two weeks. A lot of people texted me about how good they were doing and how that's my team and my home now."

OL commit Jonathan Burton: "I thought it was a really good game and the outcome showed how well Syracuse played. It showed how dominant the offensive line was up front. I can't wait to be there and be a part of that."

DB commit Darius Kelly: "I love the way they play and it's obvious they are a well coached team. I could tell they had a game plan and stuck with it. Pound the ball and get after Geno Smith and stick with it the whole game. West Virginia isn't a pushover team so I believe it was a convincing win. I'm excited and we will do good in the ACC."

2014 hoops commit Chris McCullough, who was at the game in Yankee Stadium: "It was a good game. I didn't think we would win going on, but I'm happy we pulled it out. It was cool seeing it live. I was impressed by the football team. They played great."

DE commit Malik Brown: "It was amazing. They made me smile!"

QB commit Austin Wilson: "They played great! Very excited to be a part of it all."

LB commit Marqez Hodge: "Outstanding performance, they put on a show."

TE commit Tyler Provo: "They kicked [expletive.]"

DE commit Isaiah Johnson: "They were great, I have faith in my future team."

Did you expect the score to end so one-sided?

Wilson: "To be honest, I did. I knew we would be able to tear up WVU's defense."

Provo: "Yes I did. It's like that every year."

Johnson: "Yea, I did actually because I'm competitive."

Each of the aforementioned players, with the exception of McCullough, will be enrolled at Syracuse for the 2013 season.
