Arizona's QB Rankings

Top 10 Quarterbacks

1. Brian Lewerke – Pinnacle

2. Bryce Perkins – Chandler

3. Dalton Sneed – Horizon

4. Sean Paul Brophy – Chaparral

5. Emanuel Gant – Tempe

6. Daniel Bridge-Gadd (JR) – Paradise Valley

7. Tyler Bloom (JR) – Higley

8. Gabe Losada – St. Mary’s

9. Luke McDermott – Fountain Hills

10. Jagan Cleary – Yuma Catholic

Risers

Garvin Alston (Mt. Pointe), Alex Farina (Desert Vista), Kare’ Lyles (Saguaro) and Cade Knox (Brophy) are talented but have not started a full season, Alston and Lyles haven’t started a varsity game yet. But I think they are talented enough to be mentioned and probably be in the top 10. I refrain from doing so right now but by the end of the season, all four could easily be in the top 10. Farina was good enough at NAU’s passing league to receive an offer. Alston is a D1 baseball player that wants to give football a shot as a senior and he has looked awesome this summer and Spring. The other three are just juniors, setting up the 2016 class as potentially one of the best in state history.

Waiting His Turn

It has happened before at Chandler. A talented underclassman has to wait before he takes the reigns as a starter. Mason Moran from Chandler will start in the secondary for the second straight year for the Wolves while he waits for Perkins to graduate. Head coach Shaun Aguano believes Moran is a D1 player and Boston College has already offered.

Up and Comer

Chase Cord – Sunrise Mountain- Started half of the year on varsity and performed very well. Has looked great this off-season and I think he could be a special player.

Jack of All Trades

Heath Motes from Thatcher and Tyler Wyatt from Liberty get it done threw the air, on the ground and in Wyatt’s case as a kicker. Motes accounted for 37 TDs while Wyatt accounted for 41.
