Scottsdale Saguaro will have one of the best offensive and defensive lines in
the state of Arizona next year. Linemen Chris Merrill, Joe Kellogg and Derek Bisgard are the main cogs to both of those lines.
Scout.com has featured video on Merrill and Kellogg and the final piece to
that puzzle is OT/DE Derek Bisgard. Last year the 6-1 240 pound Bisgard was
named 1st team all 4A by the Arizona Coaches Association as a DE, named 2nd team
all 4A by the Arizona Republic as an OL and 1st team all region at OL.
Here are his clips as an OL. He plays RT and wears #65:

As a DE he recorded 88 tackles, 19 sacks and 16 TFLs for the state
champion Sabercats. Here are clips of him on the defensive side of the ball:

Bisgard boats over a 315 pound bench and a squat of around 550 pounds.
He describes himself as
"An intense hard nosed player that has a motor that
never stops."
He currently has no offers but over 50 coaches have stopped by Saguaro to
look at Bisgard and his teammates.
