Former Agua Fria safety having success at Glendale Community College | |||
|
Two years ago, many contributed Agua Fria's great season to Everson Griffen but the Owl's success did not rest soley on the shoulders of the USC defensive end. AF had four all state players on that team that lost to Saguaro in the semi-finals. One of those was safety Rajric Coleman. Coleman was named all-region on both sides of the ball in his two years of varsity action and was an all-state safety as a senior. He was recruited by Oregon State and Arizona. Grades forced him to go the junior college route and he inked with perennial power Glendale. He moved to corner and started nine games for the Gauchos, recording 50 tackles and an interception. His name is again popping up in recruiting circles as a legit D1 prospect. And it comes as no surprise as Coleman stands 6-2 185 and is big enough and physical enough to play with bigger wideouts. Coleman says he is hearing from Arizona, Oregon State, Boise State and Kentucky. See Coleman's progress in video brought to you by Scout.com Junior College- Watch Video High School- Watch Video Coleman will be eligible to transfer from GCC after he obtains his associates degree, which he plans to get in the Spring of 2009. He will have three years to play two at the next level. |
