Injury Ends Season

#1 ranked DE Devon Kennard from Phoenix (Az.) Desert Vista out

This is the part of reporting that I hate the most, having to report bad news. I just confirmed through sources close to Scout.com's #1 ranked defensive end Devon Kennard that the injury he sustained on Friday against Chandler is an ACL and meniscus tear. Kennard received the results of the MRI yesterday.

Kennard tells us, "It's a rough deal but I won't let it beat me. I'll be back and even better."

In good news, it looks as though all schools will still highly recruit Kennard. His brother Derek tells us, "All five schools in his top five called him because they heard he got hurt and we told them the news and all are still say the offers stand. Devon is such a hard worker he is going to come back bigger, stronger and faster."
