Each week becomes more crucial. See who stepped up this week's playoff edition of Friday Night Phenoms

Player of the Week

*Brophy’s Max Leonesio rushed for 285 yards and 4 TDs in their win.

 

Best of the Rest

 

*Santa Rita QB Ian Garlets passed for 180 yards and 2 scores and rushed for 86 yards and a TD against Palo Verde.

 

*CDO’s Griffin Ronstadt had 210 yards and 1 TD in their win over Paradise Valley.

*Jake Fischer from Ironwood Ridge pounded his way to 216 yards on the ground in their rematch win over Sunnyside.

*Chaparral junior RB Dwayne Garrett rushed for 251 yards and 4 TDs in the Firebird’s win over Cienega.

 

*What an offensive game between Salpointe and Red Mountain!! Red Mountain’s Greyson Willard and Derek Molina rushed for 245 and 202 yards respectively and scored 5 TDs between them. Salpointe QB Trevor Eggleston had 403 yards passing and 4 TDs in a losing effort. His receiver Mike Descisciolo had 7 catches for 124 yards and 2 TDs and returned a kick for a score. On top of that Salpointe RB Christian Ramirez rushed for 226 yards and a TD.

 

*Props to the Hamilton D for shutting out Highland.

 

*Mt. View RB Jacob Brimhall had 210 yards and 2 TDs against Corona.

 

*Coronado’s Kaylin Ashley seems to have made the list every week. He had 219 yards and 4 TDs against Arcadia.

 

*Queen Creek WR Joel Hanson made 11 grabs for 196 yards and a score in their loss to Greenway.

 

*Jamal Miles from Peoria had 199 yards and 4 TDs.

*Millennium’s James Castillo made 8 catches for 136 yards and 2 TDs in their loss to Peoria.

 

*Centennial’s John Hughes led the way with 125 yards, 3 TDs rushing and an INT returned for a TD in the Coyotes win over Desert Ridge.

 

*Griffin Sturm was big for Blue Ride in their semi-final win over Fountain Hills. He rushed for 122 yards, and scored 4 TDs on the night. One on an INT returned for a TD, 2 rushing and 1 receiving.
