Arcadia's Colby Kirkegaard wins player of the week honors

Player of the Week

-Arcadia’s Colby Kirkegaard went 12 for 14 and 265 yards and 4 TDs against Seton Catholic.


-Boulder Creek sophomore Trevor Bonifasi threw for 239 yards and 3 TDs.

-Junior Brett Hundley from Chandler continues to show his versatility, against Desert Vista he had 145 yards rushing and passed for 149 yards and 2 TDs.

-Mt. View’s Brad Heap had 199 passing and 3 TDs in their win over Gilbert.

-Super sophomore Connor Brewer threw 3 TDs in Chaparrals’s win over St. Mary’s.

-Cactus’ Brody Ray had 4 TDs in their win over PV which clinched the region title.

-Ryan Stanford from Horizon passed for 346 yards on 17 of 32 passing with 4 TDs.

-Mt. Ridge’s Ryan Young passed for 259 yards and 3 TDs in a win over Willow Canyon.

-Kellis’ Chad Snider had 5 scores, 3 rushing and 2 passing versus Copper Canyon.

-Peoria’s Caleb Gillissipie passed for 231 yards and 3 TDs against Bradshaw Mountain.

-Buckeye’s Kody Karjala was 11 for 15 for 177 yards and 4 TDs versus Verrado.


-Boulder Creek junior Mike Contreras rushed for 170 yards and 4 TDs and returned a kick 90 yards for a 5th score.

-Trevor Browne’s Darrion Murphy had a huge night, carrying the rock 9 times for 295 yards and 5 TDs versus Alhambra.

-Terrance Martin from Dobson rushed for 192 yards and two TDs on 27 carries and caught a 17 yard TD pass in win over Highland.

-Davon Jones from Mountain Pointe had 159 rushing yards and 2 TDs as well as a 17 yard TD reception in a win over Westwood.

-Harrison Pomeroy from Apache Junction had 181 yards and 3 TDs on just 11 carries in their win over Queen Creek.

-Centennial RB Anthony Hughes makes the list for the second week in a row. He had 208 yards and 3 TDs in the Coyotes win over Red Mountain.

-Deer Valley’s Hayden MccLellan rushed for 175 yards and 2 TDs versus Kingman.

-Matt Jones from Horizon rushed for 186 yards and 2 TDs in their win over North Canyon.

-Bobby Castaneda from Agua Fria had 204 yards and 3 TDs versus Dysart.


-Mt. View’s D.J. Geroux had 82 receiving yards, two TDs and two INTs in win over Gilbert.

-In the same game Gilbert’s Jesse Brantley had 11 catches for 122 yards and 2 TDs.

-Pinnacle’s Alex Zemezonak had 9 receptions for 135 yards in a win over Desert Mountain.

Defense/Special Teams

-Shadow Mountain LB Ian Talbot had 3 sacks and 8 tackles, including a game saver on 4th down in overtime to help the Matadors beat Glendale.

-Chavez’s Adam Dixon had 2 INTs in their big win over Westview.

-Hamilton’s Mike Monroe also had 2 INTs to help seal the deal in Huskies win over Brophy.
