Three-star MLB Austin Arias sets official visits to MWC programs
Arias Pulls the Trigger...Again
At the time, Arias left all of his options open, including the possibility of re-committing to UNLV. His other options were the offers he had previously from Air Force, Northern Arizona, Southern Illinois and New Mexico State.
He was scheduled to visit Air Force this weekend and UNLV the following weekend. Plans have changed.
Arias tells Scout.com the exclusive news, "I cancelled my visit to UNLV. I'm strappin' the bolts on to my helmet for the next four years and going to the Air Force Academy."
He adds, "I did it because it just feels right and it's a great decision for my life in the long run. Air Force has a good football program and I am looking forward to all of the challenges it sets for me."
Arias (6-1 220) recorded 84 tackles and 1 INT this year for the Coyotes. He also scored three times on offense. He was his region's defensive player of the year for the second year in a row and was named first team All-Arizona.
