As recruiting winds down, Centennial's Lusk discusses options
Phoenix Combine MVP Makes Commitment
Lusk tells Scout.com the exclusive news, "I just committed to New Mexico State. The offensive line coach called me and I committed. I am very excited to get the opportunity to play division-one football. I am tripping there next weekend."
Lusk (6-3 290) was also offered by Utah State, UNLV, Portland State, North Dakota and Northern Arizona.
Lusk was arguably the best two-way linemen this year in the Grand Canyon State this year. He was an all-region 1st team selection on both sides of the ball and was an All-Arizona pick as a defensive tackle. He could potentially play on either side of the ball at NMSU and says he has no preference where he plays in college.
Few players play with the fiery spirit that Lusk plays with, as evidenced in his performance at the Scout.com Phoenix Combine, where he took home MVP honors.
Here are clips from the combine:
The Aggies are getting a steal in Lusk, his motor and intensity are second to none. He is the type of player that makes those around him better because of his tenacity is infectious.
Here are senior highlights of the newest Aggie:
